Client case study

PA Consulting Group
has partnered with WTG since 2006, sponsoring the European Manufacturing Strategies summit series since its inception and, more recently, hosting its own webinar masterclass.

Webinars to establish alternative routes to market

At first, the WTG webinar solution was actually perceived as an experiment on our side” PA commented. “It was one of the first times we had hosted a webinar with an external platform, as opposed to our own at PA, within the manufacturing arena

PA wanted to discover how webcasts of this nature were received by the industry; how many participants register, the types of participants that register and how many registrants actually attend the live webinar. “We wanted to open another channel to market that was different to the live events we were already attending”, PA remarked.

Establishing and continuing dialogue with key prospects
Hosting a WTG webinar has enabled PA to develop a significant number of new contacts across the strategic manufacturing base. “Almost 70 senior manufacturing executives attended our live webcast in January 2009, a number which exceeded our expectations”, PA asserts. Of the 70 delegates that were present for the live webinar, 30 subsequently contacted PA requesting copies of the presentation. “Therefore, we are able to recognise a clear demand amongst a defined group of people, which we would not have realised without hosting our webinar. Now, with all the preparation, we are able to continue a dialogue with these prospects”, declared PA’s marketing manager for the manufacturing industries.

A correlation between PA and WTG business models
The key to success lies in the correlation between PA’s route to market strategy and WTG’s business model. Having already established a collaborative platform across WTG’s European Manufacturing Strategies Summit series, where PA had benefited from hosting an interactive workshop and taking part in private, pre-arranged one to one meetings, the webinar enabled PA to maximise prospect potential in line with its own market strategy.

The different features of the WTG summit, complete with keynote sessions, interactive workshops and one to one meetings, are complimented by a committed focus on the exhibition. Unlike other events in the market, WTG places great emphasis on its exhibition arena, with all stands in a prime location to ensure traffic remains high throughout the event.

Rapid ROI generation
The result has been an accelerated return on investment for PA Consulting Group. “WTG solutions are high end in the marketplace, and we have generated ROI from our participation."
